Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning

In 1945, a fifty-year-old Anne Shirley (Barbara Hershey) returns home to Avonlea to sell Green Gables. During her extended visit, she agrees to write a play for a local theater producer, hoping it will keep her busy enough to keep her mind off Dominic, her only son who has not been heard from as the Second World War rages overseas.

However, a hidden secret in the form of a mysterious letter found in a closet at Green Gables becomes the catalyst for Anne to journey back into the past and her difficult childhood to confront the many stories she invented about herself and the truth about her long-lost birth parents.
