Rhinoceros Eyes

Writer-director Aaron Woodley's (award winning nephew of David Cronnenberg) debut film Rhinoceros Eyes is a fantastical coming-of-age story revolving around Chep (Michael Pitt), a young, reclusive prop-house employee who falls in love with a detail-obsessed movie production designer named Fran (Paige Turco). Fran's need for authentic props sends Chep to great and questionable lengths as he tries to satisfy her requests, and ultimately - win her heart.
Chep's love-struck missions spur an investigation by Detective Phil Barbara (Gale Harold) as he is called to look into the disappearance of certain items. Throughout this highly original film, fantasy and reality worlds collide, creating a truly unique cinematic experience.

A stunning directorial debut that evokes classic surrealistic films from Eraserhead to Edward Scissorhands, Rhinoceros Eyes is grounded in equal parts by Aaron Woodley's otherworldly visuals and a lead performance by rising star Michael Pitt (Murder by Numbers, The Dreamers, Last Days) and co-star Matt Servitto (The Sopranos).
