P. E. I.'s Green Gables still thrills

There aren't many places where fact and fiction blend as beautifully as they do at Green Gables. When a freckled, red-headed girl in a straw hat, gingham dress and high-button boots serves you a glass of raspberry cordial in the shadows of the perfectly restored and maintained Green Gables house (so called because its gables are painted, well, green), you'd swear Anne of Green Gables is alive, well and real . . . still age 13.
