Sam Waterston as Andrew Stuart
He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, entered Yale University on a scholarship in 1958 and graduated with a BA in 1962. He also received an honorary degree in 2001.
He not only graduated from Yale, but he attended the Clinton Playhouse for several months, the Sorbonne in Paris and the American Actors Workshop.
Waterston is a six time Emmy Award nominee as well as a winner of the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
An active humanitarian, Waterston donates considerable time to Refugees International, Meals on Wheels, and The United Way. A political independent, he has recently endorsed the Unity08 movement, which seeks to run a non-partisan candidate in the 2008 U.S Presidential Election.
Trivia: Sam Waterston has portrayed Abraham Lincoln at least four times.
